Toffee Pieces
Each toffee piece adds a delightful crunch and buttery sweetness, creating little bursts of caramelized joy in every bite.

Ingredients
1 Stick Butter | 1/2 Cup
150g Sugar
50g Corn Syrup
25g Water
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
100g Chocolate Chips
Note: You will need an instant read or candy thermometer for this recipe
Instructions
Prepare a baking sheet with either a silicone mat or parchment paper and set aside.
Mix all ingredients other than the chocolate chips in a sauce pan and heat, stirring frequently until combined.
Cook until the thermometer reads 300 degrees F. Stir frequently through this whole process, be warned your arm may get tired.
Pour onto the baking sheet and spread to an even layer
Cover with chocolate chips and use a spatula to melt them into the toffee in an even layer (try and cover as much of the toffee as possible)
Let sit until cooled and chop into the size you would like for your mixins, I go for 1/4"-1/2" squares.
Hopefully the stereotype of toffee being an "old people" candy goes away after you try this amazing mix-in! Or hopefully I can get an honorary old person title!
